As the co-founders of IS- Resilient are in their early 30’s, IS- Resilient has deep and strong relationships with many mid-level & high level commanders in the IDF who are of a similar age. As the IDF enables relatively young people to assume a lot of responsibility quickly, these officers are the ones making and implementing critical procurement decisions on the ground, which enables them to relate tactical needs to IS- Resilient on both an IDF-wide and on a specific Unit level.
IDENTIFYING REAL NEED:
As a result of these mid command-level relationships, IS- Resilient received information regarding a need to fill an operational observation gap on the northern border, when an IDF position that was required to observe Hezbollah was hit by a number of missiles that injured several soldiers who were manning lookout posts.
SOURCING & ACCESSING REAL SOLUTION:
The problem was related to Gilad Ganz, one of IS-Resilient co-founders from the commander in the field. Over the course of 2 days, IS- Resilient researched several potential solutions and identified a specialized camera system that would meet their needs.
DELIVERING IN REAL TIME:
IS-Resilient then identified a supplier, negotiating favorable terms and delivered a solution for them within 48 hours that enables them to fill the operational observation gap without endangering IDF soldier’s lives.
Following the operational success of the equipment due to our solution, additional similar systems are being purchased for several similar units to enable them to protect the Northern border effectively with less risk.
