Identifying the Real Need:
Shmuel Levinger, one of IS-Resilient’s co-founders is completing medical school in Israel and currently is a doctor assistant in the surgical department at Sheba Medical Center. Accordingly, he knows many doctors who serve in medical roles in the army, including the doctor responsible for establishing and operating all the field hospitals in the army.
Shmuel contacted him about IS-Resilient and invited him to share specific needs he has identified. A day later, he presented a specific product request: a Capnograph. This life-saving device provides real-time intubation effectiveness indications to doctors, ensuring that the intubation tube is correctly placed in the trachea.
Sourcing & Accessing Real Solution:
IS-Resilient then searched for suppliers that offered a Capnograph capable of functioning in extreme conditions and found an appropriate supplier in the US with the assistance of some American family friends. Within just one day, IS-Resilient obtained a price quote and sent the specs and quote to the IDF doctor for confirmation and also requested a detailed list of which IDF units would receive the capnograph, their locations, and contact information.
Delivering in Real Time:
The following day, IS-Resilient placed the order, and within 48 hours, the shipment of 80 devices arrived at a warehouse in Paramus, NJ, where IS- Resilient receives and process all US shipments. The same day it arrived, Shmuel notified, received a picture, and that night, volunteer couriers that IS-Re Resilient arranged via relationships in the NY area began flying with the Capnographs to Israel. Twelve hours later, Shmuel collected the shipment from Ben Gurion Airport, and that same day, drove to eight predetermined locations to deliver the shipments to the specific army units that required the Capnographs.
